Jason Spriggs a rare prospect from Indiana program

Green Bay— Charlie Mathys grew up in Green Bay, went to Indiana University and played quarterback and kicker for the Green Bay Packers from 1922-'26.

Bob Skoronski was a one-time MVP for the Hoosiers, got drafted by the Packers and played left tackle for all five of Vince Lombardi's championships.

There have been 16 Indiana Hoosiers who played for the Packers, but the most recent was Carl Barzilauskas (1978-'79). There isn't exactly a pipeline from Bloomington, Ind., to Lambeau Field.
