As Iowa football continues spring practices, the Hawkeyes received news that redshirt freshman linebacker Devan Van Ness is entering the transfer portal.
Devan Van Ness, the younger brother of former Hawkeyes star and current Green Bay Packers defensive end Lukas Van Ness, did not see any playing time during the 2024 season and elected to use a redshirt designation.
"After a great year at Iowa, I've made the difficult decision to enter the transfer portal. I want to thank Coach Ferentz, Coach Wallace, and the entire staff for believing in me and giving me the chance to chase my dreams day in and day out.
