Injury Update: Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks did not break ribs on Sunday

The last thing the Green Bay Packers could afford was another injury at the wide receiver position against the Carolina Panthers. With Christian Watson (hamstring) and Jayden Reed (toe/chest) already out of the lineup, the team was very thin at the position going into Sunday’s game.

In the second half against the Panthers, receiver Dontayvion Wicks went down with an injury — which later led to him being ruled questionable to return and eventually out. Based on what Wicks said in the locker room after the game, though, serious injury has apparently been avoided.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Tom Silverstein, Wicks confirmed that his chest injury led to an X-ray in the locker room.
