In an Improbable Comeback, All You Need is Love

For three quarters and some change, things looked bleak, to put it lightly, for the Green Bay Packers. They had more penalties (10) than points (0) at the end of the third quarter. Quarterback Jordan Love looked shaky. Overall, Green Bay’s play was very sloppy, highlighted by a miscommunication between Love and running back Patrick Taylor on fourth down to start the final quarter that resulted in a turnover on downs. And then, the magic happened, just like they drew it up. The Packers won their 11th-straight home opener after scoring 18 unanswered points, thanks to clutch plays by the first-year starter under center and timely stops by the defense.
