The Green Bay Packers’ chances to win another Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback shrink exponentially without star receiver Davante Adams, whom the team traded to the Las Vegas Raiders Thursday.
Replacing arguably the NFL’s best receiver will not be an easy task. But Green Bay has options.
Among them is reaching out to Packers free-agent receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling to see if he would return. Tight end Robert Tonyan is also a free agent, but the Packers want to re-sign cornerback Rasul Douglas with their newfound salary cap space.
Green Bay will have roughly $20 million in space with Adams no longer in the fold and may require further restructuring if they’d like to add more talented offensive pieces to their roster.
