The Green Bay Packers aren’t exactly in the position we all thought or hoped they would be at this point of the season when it first began. But no matter the record, there’s something special about playing on Christmas Day, especially when it’s as a featured presentation for the NFL.
The Packers have played on Christmas Day three times in their history, and there have been 27 total games presented on the holiday. In 2005 they lost to the Chicago Bears near the end of a lost season that would end with the team going 4-12 and firing coach and general manager Mike Sherman.
