Every time the Packers play an opponent who poses even a minor challenge, fans tend to pick out one player or aspect of the opponent that is certain to be the Packers’ downfall.
The internet then spends the entire week getting itself so worked up over this boogeyman that fans start to essentially concede the loss before the game has even been played.
This week’s boogeyman is Jalen Ramsey, a first-team All Pro who has smothered wide receivers all season long. The prevailing wisdom among those who fear the monster under their bed is that Ramsey will shut down first-team All Pro wide receiver Davante Adams, “exposing” the Packers’ lack of depth at the position and resulting in the Packers’ offense falling apart.
