The Green Bay Packers will get a shot at beating the defending NFC North champion Detroit Lions in Week 1, according to a report from Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz.
The Sunday, Sept. 7, game is scheduled for a 3:25 p.m. Central start.
The Packers haven't opened the season against the Lions since 2005 and haven't opened the season at home against them since 2001.
The Lions have won six of the seven last meetings between the teams, including both games in 2024 (24-14 at home in Week 9 and 34-31 in Detroit in Week 13).
