It’s somewhat of a surprise to see Mike Neal’s name still on the free agent market. Neal didn’t exactly light up stat sheets in Green Bay, but he’s a solid contributor who can be brought in on the cheap and offer depth at a critical position.
At some stage, Neal will surely be picked up by a team. Could the Packers bring him back?
For it to happen, it might require an injury in training camp as the position is crowded. Assuming Clay Matthews spends more time at outside linebacker this year, he will be joined by Julius Peppers, Nick Perry, Jayrone Elliott and rookie Kyler Fackrell.
