GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers will wear their 50s Classic Uniform on Nov. 3 when the Detroit Lions come to Lambeau Field.
The throwbacks were inspired by the team’s uniforms from 1950-1953, which was the second time the team wore green and gold in its history. The 1950s version could be worn with yellow, white or green pants. The modern uniforms are all-green jerseys with gold numbers and stripes, matching green pants with gold stripes, and green socks. There is no Packers "G" on gold helmets.
The NFL permits teams to have a third jersey that they can wear for up to three games per season, no more than two of which can be home games, over a five-year period.
