Green Bay Packers re-signing Marcedes Lewis, per report

Tight end is a need for the Green Bay Packers this offseason.

But finding a tight end who can block is now less of a concern, as the Packers are re-signing Marcedes Lewis to a one-year deal, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. We don’t yet know all of the details of the contract, but it’s likely a cap-friendly deal for the Packers.

Despite being signed last offseason due to his blocking ability, Mike McCarthy didn’t feature him often enough in his offense, instead using Lance Kendricks. According to Pro Football Reference, Lewis played on just 17.
