GREEN BAY – Promising Green Bay Packers second-year guard Travis Glover has been placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season.
Glover has been sidelined the past week with a shoulder injury and a source said he suffered a tear to his latissimus dorsi muscle (lat) that likely will require surgery.
Any player placed on injured reserve before the start of the regular season does not have the option of returning unless the team designates him for return. The Packers, who may designate two players for return in the preseason did not use that option with Glover.
