Green Bay Packers mourns loss of Eddie Garcia, former punter and board member

GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Edgar “Eddie” Garcia, former Packers punter and current member of the team’s Board of Directors, died Thursday, according to an obituary.

Garcia, 65, lived in Poygan.

“Following his college career, Eddie was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 1982 draft, where he played for 3 seasons. After his time with the NFL ended, he built a long and successful career in marketing and sales, spending much of his career with the Oshkosh Defense division of Oshkosh Corporation,” the obituary states.

Garcia attended Southern Methodist University before being drafted in the 10th round.
