In the “we didn’t see that coming” department, the Green Bay Packers announced out of the blue today that eight-year veteran long snapper Brett Goode has been placed on season-ending injured reserve after tearing his ACL in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders, a 30-20 win for Green Bay.
To take Goode’s place, the Packers went out and signed Rick Lovato – a player they worked out over last weekend.
