GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Girls flag football teams from around Wisconsin got a chance to compete in the Packers’ indoor practice facility on Friday.

This is the Packers’ Third Annual Girls Flag Open.

Players started the day with a skills challenge, followed by round-robin play. Packers leaders say they’re excited for girls to get experience with the sport.

“Seems like everyone, all the feedback we get, we always get on girls playing football is that it’s so much fun. Teams and girls wish it was here sooner and so we’re trying to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible so that we can keep it growing,” said Ryan Fencl, the Packers Football Outreach Manager.
