Green Bay Packers HC Speaks Out Amid Surprising Concerns From Former 2nd-Round Pick

The Green Bay Packers finally drafted a wide receiver in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. For the first time since 2002, Matthew Golden was selected by the team with the No. 23 overall pick.

Golden will have an opportunity to carve out an immediate role for himself with the Packers. His skill-set will fit nicely alongside Jordan Love and the rest of the wide receiver room. However, the pick did come with some concerns.

Jayden Reed, a second-round pick from the 2023 NFL Draft, was worried about his role. Green Bay drafted Golden in the first round and backed that up with Savion Williams in the third round.
