GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers will practice in pads on their first Wednesday of the regular season, which should give the club an idea of Micah Parsons’ readiness to play in the season opener against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 7.

Coach Matt LaFleur said in his pre-practice news conference Sept. 3 that Parsons was still in the process of working through some back soreness that may or may not affect him based on how much you believe national reports about the severity of it.

In his introductory news conference, Parsons said he was feeling great and expressed no concern about his back, but in the days after there were reports that appeared to come from his agent, David Mulugheta, that he may need an epidural injection to deal with the pain.
