John Crockett, the six-foot, 217-pound running back from North Dakota State, enters Green Bay Packers’ training camp as a favorite to land a roster spot.
Crockett who sports the nickname of “Taz,” is a complete stranger to losing.
While attending Totino-Grace High School in Fidley, Minn., Crockett brought home the 4A State Championship in 2007 and 2009. For an encore in his college days, the Bison of North Dakota State would win the National Championship in all three seasons that saw Crockett on the field.
“Taz” was named first team all-state by the Associated Press following his senior season.
