Green Bay mayor declares Friday ‘Mark Murphy Day’ to honor outgoing Packers CEO

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The City of Green Bay is honoring retiring Green Bay Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy by proclaiming Friday “Mark Murphy Day” and lighting up downtown bridges in green and gold. You can read the full text of the mayor’s proclamation below.

Mayor Eric Genrich said Murphy’s leadership leaves a lasting influence on the city and Wisconsin.

“He’s guided our beloved franchise throughout his tenure with winning football as his priority and demonstrated care and appreciation for the people who make up the team’s fanbase and the Green Bay community,” Genrich said.

“First and foremost, Mark has been a truly decent, humble, and thoughtful leader of the Green Bay Packers.
