GREEN BAY −The Green Bay Packers announce 15 new coaches − including a few with Packers connections − as part of the NFL’s Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, per Packers coach Matt LaFleur.
The Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship is designed to increase the number of full-time minority coaches in the NFL, giving them an opportunity to attend offseason workout programs and minicamps to observe, participate and learn with the goal to gain a full-time NFL coaching position.
Here’s the complete list:
The defense added former Packers safeties Morgan Burnett (currently coaching at Walton High School in Georgia) and Nick Collins (Bethune-Cookman), as well as former NFL defensive lineman Jason Hatcher (Dallas and Washington), Asa Jackson (Cal Poly), Josh Jones (San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL), Larry Knight (Arkansas State) and Shea Pitts (UCLA).
