When the Pro Football Hall of Fame reveals its Class of 2022 on Thursday’s (9 p.m., ABC) “NFL Honors” program, both Tony Boselli and LeRoy Butler are hopeful their respective continuing hurdles -- longevity and the safety position - keeping them outside the Canton doors will finally be lifted.
More so than in previous years, the belief is this time they have their strongest case. The lack of a mortal lock among the 2022 first-time eligible finalists -- defensive end Demarcus Ware, return specialist Devin Hester and offensive tackle Willie Anderson – could sway votes in their favor.
