Former SDSU RB Amar Johnson feels at ‘home’ with Packers

Johnson racked up more than 2,800 yards on the ground and 25 touchdowns, including a career-high 15 as a senior. Despite failing to hear his name called in the NFL Draft, he matched with the Packers afterwards, and it felt right.

“A great experience,” Johnson said. “Everything they told me beforehand as far as coming up there and working, showing me plenty of interest in the offseason and during pro day and all of that. So, it kind of felt like home.”

The O’Fallon, Mo., native is not the only former Jackrabbit in Green Bay. He joined tight end Tucker Kraft, who made a name for himself with the Pack with seven touchdowns last season.
