Former Packers TE Marcedes Lewis signing with Bears

Add another subplot to the Green Bay Packers’ Week 1 showdown with the Chicago Bears: tight end Marcedes Lewis, who played the last five seasons with the Packers, is signing with the Bears, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Lewis, who turned 39 years old in May, is entering his 18th NFL season, a record for the tight end position. He[‘ll break the record wearing the uniform of the Packers’ top rival.

Signed by the Packers in 2018, Lewis spent five years in Green Bay, serving mostly as a valuable in-line blocking tight end.
