Former Packers tackle Tootie Robbins dies at 62, according to friends

Former Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Tootie Robbins has died at the age of 62, according to friends.

The Arizona Republic reported Robbins' death Monday.

Neither the Packers nor the Arizona Cardinals, for whom Robbins played most of his career, confirmed Robbins’ death. However, former teammate Luis Sharpe, who entered the league with Robbins in 1982 and played with him on the Cardinals through the 1991 season, said in a Facebook post that Robbins had died Sunday.

“My heart is heavy and saddened this evening as I found out James “Tootie” Robbins passed away today,” Sharpe wrote.
