Former Packers RB Knile Davis claimed by New York Jets, but will be cut almost immediately

On Tuesday afternoon, players placed on waivers by their NFL teams on Monday had their clocks run out and either went unclaimed and became free agents or landed with new teams. In the case of running back Knile Davis, he will be on the roster of his third team in three weeks. According to the NFL’s transaction wire for this afternoon, Davis was awarded to the New York Jets on waivers, where he would be joining a backfield that includes Matt Forte and Bilal Powell.
