There was a familiar face at Ray Nitschke Field for the start of the Green Bay Packers' training camp on July 23.
It was former offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
He has returned to be part of the Packers’ coaching staff. But not in a role with the offensive coaches and more in an informal role.
He'll be a consultant for the Packers’ defensive staff, where he will bring an offensive perspective to this side, according to PackersNews' Pete Dougherty.
The Packers haven't announced Hackett's hire and he's not listed on the team's website within the coaching staff.
