Former Green Bay Packers tight end Tyrone Davis, who played on Super Bowl team, dead at 50

SOUTH BOSTON, Virginia – Former Green Bay Packers tight end Tyrone Davis, 50, died Oct. 2.

Davis played six of his eight NFL seasons with the Packers, including the 1997 season, when Green Bay lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII.

The New York Jets drafted Davis in the fourth round of the 1995 draft. He played six games over two years for the Jets before Green Bay acquired him in an August 1997 trade with the Jets for past considerations.
