Film Review: Jake Kumerow

It seems like just about every season Green Bay has a training camp darling wide receiver that’s supposed to be the next great hidden gem that the Packers’ scouting staff has unearthed. Names that come to mind include Diondre Borel, Tori Gurley, Jeff Janis, Jared Abbrederis, Geronimo Allison, Jarrett Boykin, Myles White, Brett Swain, Chastin West, Ruvell Martin, Charles Lee, and the list goes on and on.

I actually remember one of my first training camp experiences as a fan was cheering on a 6’3” 200 pound wide receiver from Ohio State named Allen DeGraffenreid. DeGraffenreid was in camp in 1996 and trying to make a receiving corps that included Antonio Freeman, Don Beebe, Robert Brooks, Terry Mickens, Desmond Howard, Rob Carpenter and Derrick Mayes.
