The Carolina Panthers are sending a veteran edge rusher to the free agent market. According to reporting from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Panthers will release defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
The Green Bay Packers didn't add an edge rusher during the NFL draft until Day 3, when general manager Brian Gutekunst used back-to-back picks -- on Barryn Sorrell in the fourth round, and Collin Oliver in the fifth round -- to add competition to the defensive end group.
Could Clowney be an option if the Packers still want to add to the position?
