As you probably heard, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers did not report to the start of voluntary OTAs on Monday. It’s the first time in Rodgers’ illustrious 16-year career that he has been a no-show. However, does it really matter if Rodgers isn’t in Green Bay this week? The answer may be a simple no.
The only person Rodgers is hurting by not showing up is himself, as he forfeits a $500,000 bonus tied into participating in offseason workouts. Maybe Rodgers doesn’t care about half a million dollars, or maybe this is his first public stance on not wanting to return to the Packers.
