All of the speculation and guesswork about the NFL Draft is now behind us. For the Packers, there was much hope they would add to their safety room in the early rounds, but a safety was not chosen until Round 7.
The questions around Aaron Rodgers’ future have also been answered, with the long-awaited trade to the Jets being completed a few days before the draft. As rumors were swirling that other teams might be interested in trading for Rodgers, the Packers and Jets were still in back-and-forth negotiations to get a deal done. Of course, a player of his caliber and a potential trade is always going to be a big distraction, with many likely to get involved.
