DETROIT — Matt LaFleur did his best Dan Campbell impression on Thursday.
With the Packers clinging to a seven-point lead with 1:55 left, LaFleur gave Campbell a piece of his own medicine. It was fourth-and-3 at the Lions 45. Detroit burned all their timeouts. Get the first down and the Packers earn a season sweep of the Lions and get some tasty Thanksgiving turkey as an added bonus.
LaFleur first called timeout and even I was like, “OK, he was just bluffing. He’s going to send out the punt team and ask the defense to close this out.
