Cory's Corner: Play The Man

Jordan Love cleared concussion protocol.

That’s good news right? That means that he will play in the regular season finale at Minnesota on Sunday. Right?

Wrong.

Love will be a healthy scratch because the Packers are locked into the vaunted No. 7 playoff seed in the NFC. (It’s the last seed in case you’re wondering.) And the Packers don’t want Love to get hurt leading up to the playoffs.

I would understand this if Love had played last week, but he missed the Week 17 game vs. Baltimore because he never cleared concussion protocol. Backup Malik Willis played very well with an injured throwing shoulder, but you would like Love to get into a bit of a rhythm again.
