Cory's Corner: Back To Basics

There were plenty of people screaming for defense last week as the Saints totally embarrassed the Packers 38-3.

And the defense looked gassed early on as Jameis Winston turned in arguably one of the best performances of his seven-year career.

But let’s be honest. The NFL is an offensive league. There’s a reason why sweeping changes occurred in 1994 — mainly because of a 22 percent decline in touchdowns. Defenses have been hamstrung ever since especially in the secondary.

That’s why the Packers have to score. They have to figure it out on the offensive end.
