After the first Lions game, my title for this column was "The Bloom is off LaFleur.". After the horrendous loss to the Raiders, I went with "LaFleur is Wilting." Here's part of what I wrote at that time.
"LaFleur (the flower) is wilting in the heat. Here, I though last week's game plan was bad! What a doozy this one was! Coach LaFleur has no idea what this team does well and what it's identity should be. It's like he's picking random plays out of a hat.
