Last Wednesday morning in this column, I touched on the Packers search for a new Defensive Coordinator. Before the day was over, the search was over. In my column, I had described the conundrum we were presumably facing as such: "Matt LaFleur's DC search has brought up some interesting candidates, all of whom except one (Brandon Staley) have never been more than a position coach. This creates a bit of a conundrum in my brain. On the one had, a new fresh face might connect with the players more and bring fresher "modern" ideas and schemes to the table.
