Cobb Comparison Raises Expectations for Amari Rodgers

It’s really not fair to a 21 year old young man who has yet to take a single snap in a professional football game. But the Packers’ third round draft choice, receiver Amari Rodgers, is being compared to, and by many, touted as the next Randall Cobb.

That’s a tall order. It’s easy to forget how good Randall Cobb really was in Green Bay. In eight seasons he caught 470 passes for 5,524 yards and 41 touchdowns. It was Cobb who pulled off some of the most memorable plays in recent Packer history. I won’t soon forget watching him tie an NFL record in his first game as a Packer by running back a kickoff 108 yards for a score.
