Cheese Curds, 6/24: Packers get continuity on special teams, hope for tight end breakout

The Green Bay Packers’ special teams largely have been in flux for a long time. Last year it was the return game that was a mess, and that area was not much better the year before. There were new punters each year from 2016 through 2018, plus a revolving door of long snappers in 2017 before a new one arrived in 2018. Only the kicker has remained consistent, with Mason Crosby holding down the fort there and finally crossing the 90 percent threshold on field goals for the first time in 2019.

But as the Packers head into 2020, there are established players at all four key specialist spots, something coordinator Shawn Mennenga must be thrilled to see.
