Soon-to-be inducted Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens turns 45 later this year and hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2010. Those facts alone should lead anyone to dismiss the Owens comeback rumors that have bubbled up over the offseason without much thought.
However, Owens seems invested in at least making the sports world consider whether he remains capable of playing football at the professional level. Owens’ posts on social media, which include a video of the retired wideout supposedly running the 40-yard dash in the mid-4.4 range, suggest he still possesses the athleticism to pull it off.
