Because they signed him to a new contract extension within the last 12 months, the Green Bay Packers cannot yet give Jordan Love a long-term deal. But after the last several weeks — and the last three in particular — it’s suddenly hard to imagine him going into 2024 without a long-term deal in place.
Since the Packers’ bye in week 6, all Love has done is steadily improve and take over the reins, the leadership, and full control of Matt LaFleur’s offense. The unit was at its very best in Sunday night’s upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs, getting creative playcalling and simply brilliant quarterback play from Love to pull the upset.
