Thank goodness the trips to the West Coast are over for the Green Bay Packers. At least in the regular season.
With a chance to stake their claim to the top spot in the NFC, the Packers looked just as listless and uninspired on Sunday night as they did a few weeks ago. The San Francisco 49ers dismantled the Packers’ offense much in the same way that the Los Angeles Chargers did in week nine — with a relentless four-man pass rush and suffocating coverage.
The Packers’ first two plays actually made it seem that the offense would get off to a decent start, with a run for four yards by Aaron Jones and a screen to Davante Adams going for 14.
