Bye Week Blues: Fun, Not Futile

Related Topics: Matt LaFleur

What is this? What am I watching? This Green Bay Packers team was supposed to be fun! Fast! Exciting! Instead, it's soft, sloppy and disorganized. There's no other way to put it.

If you're going to have the youngest team in football with a first-year starting quarterback, at the very least, your football team can play tenacious, well-organized football. But this team lacks, seemingly, any killer instinct and, more surprisingly, any sense of organization and cohesion. And it starts at the top.

I'm perplexed that what has helped make LaFleur teams so good is playing clean football is a thing of the past for the time being -- keeping the penalties low, avoiding get-back-on-track situations, quality offensive line play.
