GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – As football fans react and prepare to watch the Kansas City Chiefs attempt to become the first team in the Super Bowl Era to win three straight NFL championships, some Packers writers and fans have been quick to point out that the accomplishment wouldn’t be the first or second time that the feat has been done in NFL history.
According to Packers writer J.E. Barnett, who wrote a piece about the history of the Green Bay Packers back in September before the Chiefs’ pending historic run, he pointed toward the fact that the Green Bay Packers are the only NFL team in league history so far to win three straight NFL titles, having done it twice (1929-31 and 1965-67).
