The Kansas City Royals recalled Rock Falls native Jake Junis from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday, and he started against the Cleveland Indians at Kauffman Stadium.
Junis (2-4) took the loss, allowing three runs – all earned – and four hits in 4 2/3 innings, with six strikeouts and one walk. He threw 52 of his 78 pitches for strikes as the Royals lost 7-2.
