Are the Packers Getting the Most Out of Their Talented Secondary?

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst put together a talented defensive secondary with five starters which on paper rival any group in the NFL. But through the first five games of the season, the results have not consistently met expectations.

The question that must be asked is if the coaching staff is maximizing the available talent they have.

One big question facing the team during the offseason was who would play the “star” position and cover the slot receiver. Thus far, the choice has been Rasul Douglas.

The logic was that Douglas’ intelligence and ability to read defenses would help him play inside.
