Trading veteran defensive lineman Kenny Clark will provide long-term salary cap relief for the Green Bay Packers, who need the cap space in future years to fit in Micah Parsons' record-breaking new deal, but there will be some short-term pain left behind by Clark's exit.
Per Over the Cap, the Packers are taking on a little over $18 million in dead money on the salary cap in 2025 and a little over $17 million in 2026 by trading Clark to the Cowboys due to the accounting of accelerating prorated bonuses.
Clark's dead money number in 2025 is $18,065,000, which means he'll count that much against the salary cap in Green Bay this year despite playing in Dallas.
