Aaron Rodgers' involvement in The Barstool Fund has made its way to the neighborhood near Lambeau Field.
Burkel's One Block Over, 1007 Tony Canadeo Run, is among the latest bars to get a hand from the fund aimed at helping small businesses hit hard by the pandemic. Rodgers joined Barstool Sports founder David Portnoy for a video call to share the news with Kevin Burkel, owner of the Ashwaubenon sports bar. It was posted Saturday.
Rodgers, who donated $500,000 to the fund earlier this month, said he knows how important Green Bay Packers home games are to the businesses around the stadium that count on football crowds to make much of their money for the year.
