At long last, it appears that Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is ready to make a decision on his future. While there is still radio silence from Rodgers’ side of things, the New York Jets, who flew to meet with the 39-year-old in his Malibu home on Tuesday, are reportedly optimistic about their chances of landing the future Hall-of-Famer.
ESPN NFL insider Dianna Russini broke the news early Thursday morning. Russini’s report is the first substantial update since the Jets team plane touched down in New Jersey early Wednesday morning.
“In the wake of an extensive in-person meeting between Aaron Rodgers [and] New York Jeys brass, including owner Woody Johnson, there’s optimism that they are on the brink of landing the future Hall of Fame QB, sources close to the situation tell ESPN,” Russini tweeted Thursday.
