Unlike most teams who require a transitional year with a new head coach, the Packers already have their pieces in place. That means no excuses if the team comes up short in next year's postseason, or even worse, fail to even get a chance to play relevant football in January.

No time off to get acclimated to a new head coach. No time to get a proper feel for modern offensive concepts. No time to waste. With Rodgers entering his age 36 season, who could afford it?
