The Green Bay Packers entertained the idea of trading back but eventually stayed put and used the 23rd overall pick in the first round on Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden. The selection -- the franchise's first at wide receiver in the first round since 2002 -- sent the crowd outside Lambeau Field into a frenzy on Thursday night.
The Packers believe Golden can play every wide receiver spot -- on the perimeter and in the slot -- and possibly return kicks and punts.
